Switching platform and authorization management characterized by being highly customizable, has a specialized tool for configuration and for rules of control and routing; as well as monitoring of activities and status reports.

Features and differences

Transactional switch and online authorization: Responsible for receiving authorization messages from several sources, performing security checks required by the application of a powerful engine for control rules and monitoring of transactions and authorization to decide if transactions have complied with all predefined rules.

Setting: Subsystem that allows the installation, configuration and system settings simply, adapting to the needs of each customer.

Rules Manager: One of the most important functional features of the system is the ability to create rules using an advanced graphical interface that hands the ultimate power to the user and allows them to establish control rules and use it with advanced arithmetic and logical operations.

Accumulation: The system has a storage scheme for the calculation of velocity as a great strength, allowing for different configurable periods the execution of a series of operations based on the concepts of the transaction being processed.

Lists: The system allows the definition of user lists to handle exceptions in all transactions being processed. These are arranged as variables within the rules permitting a very important role in the authorization and routing power.

Stand-In: The system has the ability to authorize in stand-in mode in the following cases:

  • The transaction sent by the issuer or core banking returns a timeout for the waiting time parameter.
  • The response of the issuer or core banking is a processing error code that allows one to act in stand-in mode.
  • The system is in stand-in authorization mode for one of the following reasons:
    • It has reached a threshold of "X" percentage of errors or timeouts in "Y" time (configurable).
    • The channel was changed manually to switch to stand-in operation.

For stand-in authorization system will perform with user rules and PayStudio system maintains balances, therefore the release may be made by way of a positive file. This value can also be ignored and performed by negative file.

If the system is in stand-in mode and the channel was not forced to change and serve in stand-in mode, a sounding line is activated and will test until communication with the authorizer is established and maintained for a set time, with acceptable response values until normal operations are restored at which point the stand-in is automatically disabled.

The system has an SAF (store and forward) to send transactions that have been approved during the stand-in operation. PayStudio has the following modes:

  • File transmission by the approver when communication is restored.
  • Transmission in the form of messages to the approver when communication is restored.

An interface that the authorizer can utilize whenever needed. Monitoring subsystem that allows viewing the status of system operation and provides tools to continuously audit the same for deviations in service times, quickly identifying the existence errors or processing problems that degrade the quality of service.
